Welcome to Atlanta, where all Peachtree Roads lead to more Peachtree Roads. We look forward to showing you true Southern Hospitality!

The following is a listing for food, sights, and shopping in and around Atlanta. It is not by any means all-inclusive. If you are looking for something that you do not see here, please feel free to call us and we will help you!

McKendrick's

A high-end steakhouse that no longer gets the attention of the Buckhead biggies, but one that surely belongs in august company. Not only are the charred pieces of USDA prime beast excellent, but the kitchen also follows through with commendable seafood, salads and a thorough, smart roster of side dishes. Service is as unpretentious, friendly and informed as in any town. You can go safely in many directions on the menu, but you won't go wrong with New York strip or a fat porterhouse.

Restaurants - Around Town:

Buckhead isn't the only place to find world class cuisine and a vintage bottle of wine… Here are a few more spots worth visiting.
Murphy's
997 Virginia Ave.
Atlanta, GA 30306
Phone: 404-872-0904
www.murphysvh.com
What could be better? Take Atlanta's trendiest neighborhood destination of Virginia Highland; it's most popular restaurant now sporting a gorgeous, gleaming renovation; add a hot new chef from Manhattan's Gramercy Tavern and Eleven Madison Park; and a sophisticated martini and wine bar -- and you've got Murphy's. There is not another experience like it in town and the crowds gather like jumbo jets waiting on the runway.

Vickery's
1106 Crescent Ave.
Atlanta, GA 30309
Phone: 404-881-1106
www.vickerysbarandgrill.com
Vickery's Crescent Avenue Bar and Grill in Atlanta was opened to the public on August 25th, 1983 by three guys (Sam/ Chip and Jerry) and a dog (Dave) as a place to get a good drink and a cheeseburger. (They also serve some of the best shrimp and grits in the city)
The place is named Vickery's after Margaret Vickery, for whom the house was built. Until the late 1970's, Margaret lived in and operated an antique and fabric shop in the house. Rumor has it that Margaret Mitchell used to visit Margaret Vickery for hours on end (in part because she liked Margaret Vickery and because she hated her own house up the street). Speculation has it that a great deal of "Gone With The Wind" was written in that house.

Loca Luna
836 Juniper St NE
Atlanta, GA 30308
Phone: 404-875-4494
www.loca-luna.com
Make like a Brazilian and party the night away at this festive Midtown hideaway.
Loca Luna works the tropical theme, and works it hard. Intense splashes of primary color meet the eye at every turn. The expansive interior courtyard adds to the sense of escape from Midtown and makes a great spot for that large group get-together. The place borders on "get on the banana boat" silliness, but it's blessed with an infectiously festive atmosphere and killer grooves courtesy of the house samba band. When the place is packed and the rum is flowing, you might think, just for a minute, that you're in Ipanema.

887 W Marietta St Ste K102
Atlanta, GA 30318-5266
Phone: 404-815-6677
Unabashedly romantic West Midtown eatery weds sumptuous design and spirited New American cuisine.

Neuvo Laredo
1495 Chattahoochee Ave NW
Atlanta, GA 30318-2834
Phone: (404) 352-9009
www.nuevolaredocantina.com
Tex-Mex standards get a makeover at this wildly popular West Atlanta cantina.
This worth-a-trip cantina is tucked away in the never-never land beyond the mattress outlets of Chattahoochee Ave.
In rejuvenated form, this is the food you'd find in any of the million "Mexican" restaurants crowding the roadside from here to old El Paso. From top to bottom, though, ingredients here are fresher, flavors are bolder, and the use of chilies a bit sharper.

Bacchanalia
1198 Howell Mill Rd NW
Atlanta, GA 30318
Phone: (404) 365-0410
www.starprovisions.com/
This urban destination restaurant--the centerpiece of a sleekly rehabilitated factory complex--announces itself by a long entryway that houses a hip upscale grocery.
Impeccable cooking techniques applied to organic or small-farm produce and carefully selected meats and seafood. Offerings on the prix-fixe menu are pegged to the seasons and change often, but you'll find anything from butter-poached Hawaiian snapper to Pennsylvania snails to hand-poured artisan cheeses to desserts made from apples picked earlier that afternoon.
