High-definition recording

Schlesinger Associates has installed high-definition video recording capabilities across its focus group facilities in the US.  Researchers now have the option of Schlesinger’s in-house high-quality standard-definition recording or opting for high-definition at no additional cost.

Schlesinger’s HD filming is at 1080i, allowing researchers to benefit from enhanced video image, while download time remains reasonable.  Recordings are immediately accessible on hard-drive or available for download within 24 hours of the research session.

Commenting on the news, Randy Siegel, Vice President Global Technology, said, “High definition is the new standard in video recordings.  HD combines increased scanning lines with a greater pixel count, producing recordings with a vast superiority in image quality over standard definition recordings”.  Enhanced color, sharper images and more clarity in facial expression are immediately noticeable, allowing clients to enjoy more compelling video data.”

Mike Sullivan, President, added, “This investment in high-definition recording, along with on-going upgrades to our facilities, underscores our continued commitment to data collection quality and supporting researcher needs both today and for tomorrow. ”
